Ronald Johnson Sr

Ronald Dirk Johnson Sr. passed away on November 19, 2013, he was 49 years old. Dirk was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio; however, he also lived for a while as a young adult in Phoenix, Arizona. Dirk was very proud of his children, Nicole (24), Ron Jr. (21), Cory (20) and Laila (10). Dirk highly emphasized the importance of family, and always took an active role. Whether it was having fun, playing with the kids, cooking, cleaning or providing, he never complained - even if the situation got tough; because he truly enjoyed doing all of it! Dirk was a passionate musician and his instrument of choice was the drums. He spent much of his spare time playing the drums but he also played bass guitar, and whatever other musical instrument was around. His love for music has undoubtedly played a part on those around him, as many of his close family members are musicians as well. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; father, John Johnson; and brothers, John and Wymen Johnson. He is survived by his children, Nicole Euchler, Ron, Cory, and Laila Johnson; mother, Elizabeth Johnson; brothers and sisters, Carla King, Doreen Johnson, Germaine Smith, Gina Johnson, Drake (Cheryl) Johnson, Jay Johnson and Juan Johnson; companion Barbara Cheeseman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
