Rose Marie Wayne

Rose Marie (Carey) Wayne, 75 passed away on July 10, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Rose was born on January 3, 1946, to Mattie Carey and John Carey, who preceded her in death. Rose had a passion for life and always would brighten your day with a smile and kind words. She cherished spending time with family and friends and working with St. Dominic’s Community Kitchen (The Monday Crew). Rose loved tending to her flower garden, traveling with her best friends and entertaining family and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester Wayne and son, Michael E. Gwinn, Sr. She is survived by her loving children, Darryl (Valerie) Carey, Steven (Carla) Gwinn, and devoted daughter Paulette (Curt) Beckford; brothers, Freeman (Rebecca) Carey, Frank (Sylvia) Carey and Tony Martin; sisters, Patricia Willis, Vanessa (Edward) Stewart, and Avie (Reece Smith) Carey; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
