Rosebud 'Snowbird' (Collins) Lamar

Rosebud (Collins) Lamar, age 97, of Columbus went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Manor at Whitehall nursing facility. She was born September 20, 1914 in Stewart, Alabama. Rosebud was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, served on the kitchen and dining room committees, and missionary circles. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Minnie Collins; husband, Robert, Sr; son, Robert, Jr; great-grandson, Kai Lamar and twelve siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted daughter and caregiver, Bobbie Lamar-Chambers; grandsons, Sean, Kenneth (Shari), and Kevin Lamar; granddaughters, Kellie (Floyd) Reevey; Kyra Lamar-Wyche; eight great-grandchildren; a special niece, Exie Stevens, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and Bethany Baptist Church family.
