Rosemarie Mitchell

Rosemarie Mitchell was born on October 2, 1939 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania, to the proud parents of James and Garnetta White. On Friday, January 25, 2019, Rosemarie departed this life and went home in the arms of our Heavenly Father. She is preceded in death by her parents James White and Garnetta Stevenson. A strong love for family, Rosemarie or "Rosie" as she was affectionately known, moved to Columbus, OH in 1976 to be closer to her mother and brother. She was the cornerstone of the Mitchell Family and often was referred to as "mom" by all the children in the community. Rosie was employed by General Motors Corporation for 25 years, but entrepreneurship ran in her family bloodline. She was the owner and operator of her own salon for 40 plus years, and was an exceptional Avon representative for over 30 years. Rosemarie by nature was an unconditional giving soul. She would go out of her way to help others even at her own expense. Rosemarie was extremely passionate about assisting the elderly and would visit senior facilities to develop relationships with many of the residents. Also, she would customarily transport her salon clients to and from her place of business to deliver full service care. She often designed and sewed outfits and had a keen sense of style resulting in compliments for her latest fashion creations. She spent a good portion of her time reading the bible and striving to lead the kind of life that her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would be proud of; to one day hear the words "well done my good and faithful servant. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend. Rosemarie loved her extended family dearly and regularly attended the Mitchell, Lampkins & White-Mc.Cray Family reunions. She was a member of First Church of God and a devoted daughter of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Rosie is survived by her children Charles Mitchell Jr., Deborah Mitchell, and Kim Mitchell; her brother James White Sr.; her grandchildren Brianna Anderson, Joia Mitchell-Holman, Chris Mitchell, Charles (Krystal) Mitchell III, Dequan Mitchell, and Charlene (Cameron) Conley; her great-grandchildren Camden Mitchell, Charles Mitchell IV; her niece Melony (Frank) Brunson; her nephews Stacy White, James White Jr., and a host of loving family and friends.
