Roy Charles Smith

Roy C. Smith, age 74, sunrise August 29, 1938, sunset October 7, 2012 with family at his side. Retired from Anheuser-Busch after 28 years of employment in the brewing house. Predeceased by parents Eva Mae and W.C. Smith, and brother Archie. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Shirley; daughter Margaret Gladney of Springhill, LA; brothers, Albert (Lessie) of Kansas City, MO and Roy Lee (Linda) Smith; sisters, Clarene Shinault of Kansas City, MO, Irene Strong of Sarepta, LA, Dorothy (Roland) Farnell of Shreveport, LA, Cherry Lee (Jimmy) Moore of Springhill, LA; sisters-in-law Ella Ruth of Metamoria, MI and Lillian Caliver; brothers-in-law Emmett (Mary) and Curnell Elliott; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life 12 noon, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Smyrna Baptist Church, 1650 Wilson Ave., where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
