Ruby Lee (Edwards) Hammond

Ruby Lee Hammond was born September 12, 1924, to Sample Edwards and Annie Rushins Edwards in Goodman, Mississippi. A member of Praise Temple Church of God, Ruby loved the Lord and people. She found joy in telling them about God's goodness. On May 2, 2015, at the age of 90, Ruby departed this life while at Whetstone Gardens and Care Center in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her five siblings, Ruth Campbell, Luessie Burkes, Bessie Body, Odell Edwards and Eddie B. Edwards. Left to cherish memories of Ruby are her two sons, Nubert and John (Hattie) Vanarsdale, and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
