Ruby Hosley, 90, born in Griffin, Georgia on June 29, 1920, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2011. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and a friend to many. Ruby was a member of First Church of God for over 50 years and retired from Mann's Nursing Home and First Community Village after more than 35 years of service. Predeceased by parents, Oscar and Rosa Mae Reid, daughter Jacqueline Hosley, five brothers and four sisters. Ruby will be missed dearly by daughter Ann; loving grandchildren Anthony (Stephanie) Hosley and Andrew (Trisha) Truss; sister Lois Ware; sisters-in-law, Hattie Sue Reid, Gladys Reid, and Zollie Reid; loving great grandchildren, De-Anthony Hosley, Jordan Hosley, and Alissa Harvey; a host of cousins and special friend Ellen Harvey. Homegoing Celebration 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Bishop Timothy J. Clarke, officiating. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Church of God in memory of Ruby.
