Ruby Barton Wilder was born April 12, 1915 to Jane Marie and Veline Barton in Vidalia, Georgia. She relocated to Columbus, Ohio and married her sweetheart Jimmie Wilder. From this union, nine children were born: Jimmie, Jr., Thomas, Janice, Ronald, Mary, Anna, Albert, David and Dwayne. Ruby accepted Christ at the early age of thirteen and has been a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church ever since. On Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Whitehall Manor, Ruby's desire to go home with her Heavenly Father was granted. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jane Marie and Veline Barton, husband Jimmie Wilder, Sr.; children Jimmie, Jr., Thomas, and Anna; siblings, Anne, Veline, and Albert and other cherished loved ones. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Janice Kendall of Virginia, Ronald (Gloria) Wilder, Mary Wilder, David (Brenda) Wilder, all of Columbus, Ohio, Albert Wilder of Florida and Dwayne (Debbie) Wilder of Minnesota; 35 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren, 71 great-great grandchildren and 7 great-great-great grandchildren; sister Otera Ledbetter, cousin Oretha Mitchell and sister-in-law Gradella Barton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Homegoing Celebration 11 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Avenue. Rev. Dr. Victor M. Davis, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, Friday 10 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
