Rupert Harrell

Rupert Harrell, age 78, of Columbus, passed peacefully in his sleep Sunday, April 10, 2016. Born October 3, 1937 to Tony and Maude Harrell. Rupert was a hard worker, devoted husband and family man, who had a passion for building and fixing EVERYTHING. He would hold his head high with a smile to say the greatest title and job he has ever had was being “Grandpa.” Predeceased by his parents and siblings, Joseph, Donald, Jimmy, Tony Jr., Ralph, Wayman, Leon, and Jacklyn. He will be forever missed by his wife of 54 years, Katherine Harrell; children, Ralph Harrell, Kenneth (Sonia) Harrell, Kimberly (Lloyd) Napper, and Kelly Harrell; beloved grandchildren Keia and Steven Napper, Jessica Alvarado-Harrell, Kenneth Alexander, and Michelle Harrell, Quala Watkins, Mor’Kel, Morquise, Mya, and Maurice Lott; sisters, Kathyn Lipsey, Eleanor Harris, Martha Jean Davis, and JoAnn (Tommy) Baity; sisters-in-law, Annie and Patricia; and many other family members and friends.
