Ruth Elizabeth Jackson

Ruth Elizabeth Jackson, age 93, affectionately known as “Ruthie”, was born November 16, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to Willia Fowler and Silas Brown. Ruthie was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she sang in the Senior Choir and was a member of the Nurse Corps She was a Nurse Aide at the Eye Clinic and she retired form Children’s Hospital. Ruthie cooked the BEST homemade biscuits. She enjoyed reading the Holy Bible and Danielle Steel novel books. Her hobbies included puzzle books and planting. Ruthie departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Ohio State University East. She is preceded in death by parents; sister, Jean Barksdale; son, William Brown; and special friend, Joyce Evans. Ruthie is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) Green; son, Ernest Jackson; grandkids, Allan (Charmail) Brown, Steven (DeAundera)Brown, Ernest Jr., Jessica, Joshua, Nate, Alexis and Martel Jackson; eight great-grandkids; one great-great grandkid; and a host of nieces, nephews; and friends.
