Sammie Lee Williams, Jr.

Sammie Lee Williams Jr. (Sonny) was born in Coy, Alabama on September 1, 1950. On Tuesday March 23, 2020 he was called home. He was very proud of his roots born and raised in Alabama. In his early 20’s he moved to Columbus Ohio living with his sister Aletha McLaurin to explore what the future had in store for him. He worked for Bonded Oil for several years then moving on to work for I H Schlezinger Inc as a Scrap Iron/Metal Processor. At this time, he met and married his wife Kathryn L. Holbert and born daughter Diane M Williams and two grandson’s Marquise D Williams-Lang and Cameron J Williams-Lang. Sammie (Sonny) is preceded in death his parents Sammie Lee Williams Sr and Linnie (Goode) Williams of Coy Alabama, sister Erma Jean Kennedy of St. Louis Mo. Sonny will be missed by his wife Kathryn L (Holbert) Williams, daughter Diane M Williams, grandson’s Marquise D Williams-Lang and Cameron J Williams-Lang, sister’s Aletha McLaurin, Oral (Diane/Dee) (Williams) Miles (Anthony Miles), Alma King (Mike King), brother’s Charles Williams (Annie Williams), John Williams (Laura Williams). Aunt’s Margorie Packer and Geniva Barrett, & Uncle Robert (Buddy) Williams (Michele Williams). His extended family from the Stevens Reunion in Southern Ohio will miss him dearly.
