Samuel Gray Wallace, affectionately known as Sonny, born November 12, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama to Henderson and Alice Gray Wallace, passed away March 12, 2014 at Arbors East Nursing Home, Columbus, Ohio after an extended illness. Samuel was in educated in the Birmingham Schools and moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1948. He was employed at Republic Steel for many years. He married Olivia Parker in 1955. To this union were born Michelle, Andrea, twins Vincent and Vivica and Olivia. Samuel grew up in Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church of Birmingham Alabama. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio, he became a member of St. James A.M.E. Church. He leaves to mourn his passing, all of his children, Michelle Wallace, Columbus, Ohio; Andrea Wallace of Ft. Lauderdale Florida; Vivica Wallace, Indianapolis, Indiana; Vincent Wallace, Cleveland, Ohio: Olivia (Walter) Wallace Wilder of Charleston, South Carolina; brother, Henderson Wallace, Detroit. Michigan; and sister, Joyce W. Thomas, Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Nicholas Scott and Dante (Christine) Wallace; and two very special cousin, Leona H. Butler and Deborah H. Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
