Samuel Henry Jr.

Samuel Bowman Henry Jr., passed away on May 15, 2024. Samuel was born on May 21, 1971, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was the oldest son of Samuel B. Henry Sr. and Cecelia Henry.

Samuel was one of 10 children. He grew up enjoying little league football, little league baseball, bowling, and spending time with his family on summer outings and vacations. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins football team. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Samuel graduated from Marion Franklin High school where he played football. After graduation, he worked in various occupations. He later married Alison Washington in 1999.

Samuel was preceded in death by his devoted parents Samuel B. Henry Sr. and Cecelia H. Henry. Samuel is survived by his siblings, Peggy K. (Michael) Holley, Penny K. (Mark) Henry-Handy. Dr. Patty K. Henry, Polly K. ( Darrell) Glenn, Pammy K. (Jarbrell) Maye, Prixxy K. (James) Taylor, Jay L. Henry, Pannsy K. (Joel) Brown, Lawrence A. Henry, Uncle Brian L. Henry, Alison Washington (ex-wife), nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
