Sharon E. Ellis-Brown was born July 26, 1954 to Johnie B. Ellis and Betty C. Williams Ellis. She married Roger G. Brown, and on October 22, 1974, she gave birth to their daughter, TaMica Marie Brown. As time went on, Sharon became a proud Nana to her two cherished grandsons, Brock and Tatum. A lifelong resident of Columbus, Sharon graduated from Franklin University, where she earned an Associate degree in Marketing. She was employed by the City of Columbus, Office of Minority and Female Development for 15 years, and later retired from the position of Supervisor after a 16-year career with the United States Postal Service. On February 14, 2014, Sharon E. Ellis-Brown departed this earthly life while at the Manor at Whitehall Care Center. She was predeceased by her father, Johnie, sister, Diana Williams, brother, Michael Ellis, grandparents, John and Viola Ellis, uncles, Charles Williams and Willie Ellis, and nephew, Christopher Ellis, Sr. In addition to her daughter and grandsons, those who remain to cherish memories of Sharon include her mother, Betty Patton; sister, Joni (Charles) Mason; brother, Jeffrey Ellis, Sr.; uncle, Paul (Mary) Williams; nephews, Charles Ellis, Sr., Jeffrey Ellis, Jr., and Michael Coats; nieces, Ashley and Azia Mason, and Andrea Coats; and a host of wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
