Sheila Renee Latham

Ms Sheila Renee Latham was born June 13, 1950 in Columbus Ohio to the late Mr. Lee S. Hannah, Sr. and Mrs. Mildred Smith. At 61 years old, Sheila passed away at Kobaker Hospice House on Friday, July 22, 2011 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by father Lee Hannah Sr.; son James (Jim Jim) Latham Jr. and long time companion, Charles A Pruitt Jr. Sheila attended Milo Elementary and Linmoor Jr. High School and Central High School. She also attended Dalton School of Business to better her family’s life. At an early age she recognized the need for Christ and attend several churches in the area. Later understanding the need for salvation, she accepted and confessed Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Sheila married James Latham Sr. but later separated. The late James Latham Jr. was the results of that union. She loved providing for her family, enjoyed gardening, decorating, and cooking. Stylish clothing was one of her favorite enjoyment as well as playing bid-wiz, dancing and visiting friends and family. She enjoyed gardening and creating little works of art for her home. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life including a glass company in Lancaster Ohio and the Columbus Board of Education where she drove a school bus. Sheila was a loving mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother ,friend and companion but her primary joy were her grandkids. She leaves to cherish her memory, her Mother, Mildred Smith; Stepfather, Clarence Smith; her daughters, Tameka Latham and Tiffany (Will) Bowers; grandchildren, Jamie, Jameka, Unique, William Jr. and Justice and one great grandchild JayLynn ; siblings, Theresa (Glenda) Hannah, Rev. Lee S. (LaNell) Hannah Jr., and George (Bobbie) H. Hannah. as well as a host other relatives and friends. Sheila will be truly missed. May she rest in peace.
