Shelia Jane Harrison

Shelia Harrison’s sunrise was Monday, October 25, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of James and Goldie Braxton. Shelia was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Shelia was a retiree of the Department of Transportation Division of Rail where she was employed for 30 years. Shelia knew and loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to Faith Ministries where she was an active member of the Usher Board and Choir. On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, our beloved Shelia J. Harrison transitioned from labor to eternal rest. She was 72 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Goldie B. Braxton. Shelia leaves to cherish her memory: three children Karla Culver, Vicki Culver, and Earl “Rico” Harrison; seven grandchildren, Loretta Burnette, Dyamond Culver-Betton, Demonte Harrison, Cha’mar Harrison, Carzel Culver-Betton, Kory Harrison-Turner, and Thomas Harrison-Turner; six great grandchildren; siblings, Earl (Virginia) Braxton, Ronald (Gwendolyn) Braxton, Deborah Coles, Brian Braxton, Emanuel (Robin) Braxton, Paula Braxton, Craig (Troia) Braxton, and DeEdra Braxton; lifelong friends, Kay Caroll, Thomasine Johnson, Cissy Johnson, and Theresa Young; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends.
