Sherman Todd James was born June 7, 1979 in Columbus and was adopted by Arthur and Jeanette James a few months later. Sherman graduated from Walnut Ridge H.S. He enjoyed racing and building model cars in his spare time. He worked part time for the State of Ohio and when that assignment ended, he did work for the Convention Center. He always stayed busy learning different skills. Sherman Todd James, age 34 of Columbus, passed unexpectedly on December 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette James; grandmothers, Mary Alexander and Florine James; grandfather, Carl Alexander Sr. and uncle, Clarence Alexander. He is survived by his father, Arthur James; half-sister, Vera Babbs; uncles, Bishop Carl Alexander Jr. (Marlene) and Leslie Alexander (Carol); aunts, Betty Davis (Alfonso) and Patricia Cousar; and a host of cousins, friends, and relatives.
