Sherwin Sebaston Jackson, age 66, went home to the Lord Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born July 6, 1949 in Paris, TX, he was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who served his country well. His achievements include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, and the Purple Heart Medal. He was predeceased by his father, mother, and brother, and leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Pamela Carter Jackson, Sheilah Jackson-James, Sandra Jackson, Harvey Jackson, Hervie Jackson, Wetzel “Bo” Jackson, Keith Jackson, and Karen Jackson; an aunt, Pebble Pruitt, of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. “He is our champion, and his spirit will live in us forever!”
