Shirley Ann Ross, also known as Mom, Grandma, GG, Aunt Shirley, and Ms. Diva, The Matriach of her Family, went home Friday October 21, 2016. She was very Classy, she strutted her stuff in her high heels and pant suits, her arms and door were always open if you needed a hug, some food, or just to rest your head, and of course, you were going to get prayed over. There was absolutely no playing about that. She had her hand in everyone's upbringing. She was that light of respect, honor, and love that shined on whomever crossed her path. She accepted Jesus Christ in her life and was baptized as a worshipper of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. Shirley was born in Huntington, WV, May 21, 1942, and moved to Columbus, OH in the early 1960's to further her education, resulting in employment as a clinical laboratory technician at Grant Hospital for several years, only leaving her position early to raise her child. Shirley Ross is the Epitome of Beautiful Strength!!. Loved by many, she will be greatly missed by all. Left to rejoice in her memory are her devoted daughter, Tonyen Ross; brother, James Ross II; sisters, Frances Ross and Audrey West; grandchildren, Souyen Ross, Joseph Davis, Jr. and Calvenia Goff; great-grandchildren, Amirah Barnett and Curtis Holman, III; with an abundance of loving relatives, extended family and friends.
