Shirley Ann "Big Mama" (Rice) Lovelace, was born on February 18, 1944, in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Ernest and Margaret Rice. She was eighty years old, a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Shirley was a Licensed Nurse at Rest Haven Nursing Home and dedicated her career to caring for others. She was known for her vibrant personality and love for her family. Her nicknames were "Big Mama, Me-Me, and Two Sweet " She will be extremely missed.
Shirley "Big Mama" leaves to cherish her memories forever, her daughter Ms. Frankie White, Lisa (Leelee) Lovelace, son Larry (Amber) Lovelace, sister Brenda (Mark) Ragland, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren all from Columbus Ohio, and a host of family in Greenwood South Carolina, Church Family and Friends.
In her free time, Shirley (Two-Sweet) enjoyed bowling, solving puzzles, crocheting, and visiting the casino. She was a member Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in her younger years of life, and at the present time a member of Greater Glory Empowerment Temple, where she found comfort, family and community.
The service to honor and celebrate Shirley Ann Lovelace home going will be held at Greater Glory Empowerment Temple, 52 Reeb Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43207, on Friday, March 8, 2024. The viewing will take place from 1 :00 pm to 2:00pm, followed by the services from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Diehl Whittaker Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
In liew of flowers, please send planters or contriutions can be made to the charity of your choice or plant a tree, in her name.
