Shirley Maxine Young was born March 23, 1936, in Slab Fork, WV. She was formerly a resident of Charleston, WV and Bedford, NY before moving to Columbus, OH in 1975. She was affectionately known as “Shirl” or “Maxi”. Shirley was proceeded in death by her father, Simeon J. Faucett; mother, Pearl S. Barton-Faucett; brothers, Robert Faucett, Michael Faucett; daughters, Sharon J. Naper, Helen Y. Faucett; son, Michael A. Young; and grandson, James C. Lyles. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Ghee; son-in-law, Anthony W. Ghee; son, Willliam F. Young, Jr.; grandson, Bishop James Tatum; granddaughter-in-law, Lashanda Tatum; grandson, Craig Tatum; granddaughter-in-law, Cindy Tatum; grandson, DeAnglo Tatum; granddaughter-in-law, Jhamerra Smith; grandson, Robert W. Faucett; granddaughter, Semeka L. Ghee; granddaughter, Sandra Y. Fisher; grandson-in-law, Ervin J. Fisher; granddaughter, Jacqueline M. Young; granddaughter, LaShanda Gibbs; grandson-in-law, Wayne Gibbs; granddaughter, India Thompson; grandson, Christopher Young; grandson, Michael A. Young II; granddaughter, Melody Young; granddaughter, Nicole Y. Young; and number of great grandchildren.
