Spencer Barton

Spencer " Bitty" Barton, age 72, passed away at his daughter's home on Monday March 21, 2022. He was born September 27, 1949 in Columbus, OH. Graduated from South High School in 1969 where he played football for 3 years. Spencer continued to play football in his adult life with quite a few Leagues. He started his journey with the CA (Cocaine Anonymous) program and served as a Chairman of the World and Trustee and held many other positions. Spencer was a loyal employee and a supervisor for AEP over 40 years. A devoted member of Second Baptist Church. In his retirement years, he worked for the Board of Elections. Spencer is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gradella (Isom) Barton; Maternal grandparents, Grace Penn, Charles T. Isom, William Boyer; Paternal grandparents Marie and Veline Barton; brother, Albert Barton Jr. Left to cherish in loving memory are his children, son Mingo Veline (Lisa Jobes), daughter, Nina (Corey Fuller) Barton, son, Paul (Pam Wentzel) Barton; Paulette Foster Barton, the mother of his 3 children; grandchildren, Zakiya, Swan, Diamond, and Jade Barton, and Corina Barton Fuller; siblings, Charles (Ammi) Barton, Duane Barton, Gradella (Terry) Holliman; nieces and nephews, and Goddaughter Tiara Ivory, and a host of other relatives and special friends.
