Stanley Joseph Brue

Stanley J. Brue born July 18, 1929 in Mobile, Al, passed away November 6, 2018. He was an alumnus of Heart of Mary High School and was an altar boy at Heart of Mary Church. He earned his bachelors degree and pharmacy degree from Xavier University in Louisiana before enlisting in the US Army. Throughout his life, Stanley worked as a pharmacist for the VA Hospital, Gray Drug Stores, Ohio State University, and Rite-Aide Pharmacy. He was a member of Christ the King Church in Columbus and was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth G. Brue, mother Maurice Summerlin, and step father Joseph Summerlin. He leaves to cherish his memory is his daughter, Laura Brue; son, Stan Brue (Connie); sister, Rosemary Reese (Herman); sister in law, Maggie Adams (Larry); brother’s in law, William “Bill” Ray (Lil) and Herman Bivens (Nora); grandchildren, Kellie Brue, Sabrina Armstrong (Jamarr), and Aaron Casey; great granddaughter, Rachel Brue; nephews, Vincent McElroy (Tonia), Vernon McElroy (Georgette), Virgil McElroy (Wylena), Guy Adams (Erika), George “Louie” Burton, III, and Rene Reese; nieces, Brenda Burton, Shirley Lyles (Vincent), Lileta Burton, Renita Reese, and Kim Ray; great niece, Capri Reese, and great nephew, Nicholas Reese; great great niece, Sydney Reese.
