Stiles Patterson Jr

Stiles Franklin Patterson, Jr., 86, affectionately known as “Pat,” passed away peacefully December 25, 2013 in Westerville, Ohio. Born January 3, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Stiles graduated from Hanover County Training School in Virginia. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served during World War II. After moving to Columbus, Ohio, he worked for the United States Postal Service. Following his retirement at the post office, he worked as a school bus driver for the Columbus City Schools. Preceded in death by his devoted wife of 62 years, Lonnie “Betty” Patterson, parents Stiles and Dolly Patterson, and two brothers, Thomas and Alvin. Survived by daughter, Patricia Alice Overton; grandchildren, Tyler and Tiana Overton; sister Olivia Johnson; aunt Agnes Mitchell; son-in-law Richard Overton, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
