Sue Ann White was born November 3, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio to Lawrence Ramey and Elizabeth Turney Ramey. Sue Ann accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church under the late Rev. A.L. Mason. She was united in marriage to the former Wesley L. White and from this union, two daughters were reared. She was a member of Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the Sanctuary Choir, Nurses Corp., Vacation Bible School, Lydia Missionary Circle, Sunday School (former secretary), and wherever else she was asked to serve. Sue Ann was employed by the State of Ohio where she served as a supervisor. In June 1995, she retired with 40 years of dedicated service. To most children, and some adults, she was known as grandma or nanna, and always went above and beyond to help many. Momma would always tell us to trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Her favorite passage was Psalm 23. On Monday, February 6, 2012, Sue Ann White transcended to be with the Lord. Her parents and brother William preceded her in death. Left to mourn their loving, kindhearted mother and grandmother are her two daughters Dianna S. Smith and Sharon E. White; special sons Michael Thompson and Nathaniel Smith, Jr.; grandchildren Robert (Paula) White, Tinya White-Arnold, Trent (Sheri) Smith, and Trina (Brian) Maddox; eleven great grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece Carol (William) Carter; two nephews, three great nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
