Our beloved Susan Elizabeth Qualls was born July 26th, 1957 in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Rev. David N. Ramsey and Vivian A. Ramsey. Susan attended Columbus Public Schools, Columbus State College, and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (EFDA Program). Susan worked as a licensed EFDA dentistry professional and dental clinic Supervisor for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Susan was a master teacher and also worked as a Professor at Ohio Institute of Health Careers. Susan was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend who cared deeply for her family. Susan freely shared her service, kindness, generosity and illuminating smile with everyone. She was a true “Princess” of kindness, and unconditional love. Susan was an accomplished writer and published author, who loved to travel and share new adventures with family and friends. Susan loved orchestrating and organizing birthday parties, social events and family get-togethers. Susan loved good music; classic black and white films and she enjoyed playing songs on her piano with family. As a faithful servant of God, Susan was always eager and willing to be of service to her beloved Greater Twelfth Missionary Baptist Church home. Susan loved to study and apply scripture to her life and share with all who sought to learn the word of God. Susan lived a life of dignity, uprightness and steadfast duty to her Lord. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. David Sr. and Vivian Ramsey; four brothers, Paul, Mark, Daniel, and Matthew; and brother-in-law, James Bell. Susan is survived by her beloved husband and soul-mate, Curtis Qualls, Sr.; daughter, Latonya: sons, Curtis (Stephanie) Muhammad and Eric (Modupe) Qayyim: brothers, David Jones, John (Belva) Ramsey: sisters, Lois (Jack) Johnson, and Ester Ramsey: grand-children, Kenyatta, Jazmine, Cordell, Elijah, Sabir, Simon, Amina, Salih: great-grandchildren, Evelina and Mateo: sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Floyd and Lavon Dulaney: brothers-in-law, Junious (Yvonne), Andre (Tyianna) and Kenny Dulaney: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
