Susie Ruth Lewis Carson, age 90, was born in Thomson, Georgia to the late John and Susie (Wiley) Lewis on December 7, 1926 and departed this life on December 9, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. Susie was a gifted vocalist, pianist and organist and accepted Christ at a very early age. Her love for Christ and a desire to be used by God found Susie in different churches across various denominational lines throughout the City of Columbus. She later became an ordained evangelist through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., and was a member of Christ Centered Apostolic Church where she preached, played the piano, and sang until her health prevented her from doing so. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ernest Carson; daughters, Jo Moody, Ghonna Booth, and Deborah (Rodney) Sanders; sons, Barry (Mary), Robert (Wanda) and Mark Crawford; sisters-in-law, Bertha Howard, all of Columbus, OH and Ida (James) Demons, of Atlanta, GA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
