Tamara Bridges

Tamara Antoinette Bridges, age forty-eight, received her wings on Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was born Saturday, August 17, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio, to Tommy E. Bridges, Sr. and Ethel Bridges-Patilla. “Tammy,” the name used by her family and close friends, grew up in Cassady Farm. Tammy graduated from Mifflin High School in 1993. She attended Wilberforce University. Tammy worked for Charter Properties for ten plus years. Tammy had an infectious smile and a big heart.

During her wonderful time on this side of heaven, Tammy enjoyed cooking, traveling, and family gatherings. She was never one to shy away from a joke and her sense of humor was unmatched. Tammy loved attending her nieces and nephews sporting events. Her most cherished moments were spending time and creating memories with her daughters, Shamara and Sariah. Tammy was passionate about helping others and would volunteer at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. She also was a huge Cleveland Browns football fan. As we say our goodbyes, family and friends will blow the whistle one last time in honor of the 1974 big body classic.

Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elneata and James E. Bridges; father, Tommy E. Bridges, Sr; and brother, Gregory Bridges.

She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Ethel Bridges-Patilla; daughters, Shamara and Sariah Bridges-Summerall; brothers, Tommy Bridges Jr., Craig Bridges, James Bridges, Sr., Winston Bridges, Robert (Karen) Bridges, Sr., and Michael Fisher; sisters, Tonya Bridges, Koslynn Robinson, and Charlotte Waldon; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
