Teri Suzette (Jennings) Jackson was born on October 6, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, where she was raised by her mother, Ozella Jennings, in a close-knit and loving home, alongside ten siblings. She had many friends in the neighborhood and was well-liked by all. In school, Teri was popular and outgoing. She found interest in both cheerleading and gymnastics. Excelling academically, Teri graduated early from Franklin Heights High School, where she was Valedictorian of the Class of 1981. She went on to attend The Ohio State University and soon after, she joined her husband, Victor, to live in Germany for a time in support of his military career. A loving military wife for 34 years, Teri maintained a career in modeling for some years. She was also the branch manager of a leading staffing company in the Columbus area. Additionally, she was an active participant with the Obama-Biden Presidential Campaign in 2008, and again in 2012. However, Teri’s most important position has always been as a proud mother of four children who were her most prized possessions in life. In the absence of her late sister, Trishella, Teri acted as a second mother to Michael, Soren, Kristian, Taryn, Maxx, and Devin McDaniel. Teri was an avid reader and a lover of the arts, particularly music and dance. She was intelligent, well-spoken, poised, and very cultured. Always nurturing and welcoming of others, Teri possessed a kind, sweet spirit and a great sense of humor. On Saturday, February 22, 2014, Teri S. Jackson was called home to be with the Lord while at Grant Medical Center. She was predeceased by her sister, Trishella McDaniel, and maternal grandparents, Timothy and Blanche Jennings. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband Victor G. Jackson, Jr.; sons, Landon, Tori, and Adam; daughter Alexandra (Luis) Correa; mother Ozella Jennings; grandchildren, Shai Lin, Kourion, Tori Jr., and Deioni; brothers, Dennis (Beverly) Jennings, Victor Jennings, Steve (Danelle) Jennings, Manuel Jennings, Brent Jennings, and Kris McDaniel; sisters, Deona (Kim) Jennings, Diana (Wes) Sylvia, and Brandi Jennings; brother-in-law Vincent (Dawn) Jackson; sisters-in-law, Vita Jackson and Curi Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
