Terrance Darnell Wilson was born on Saturday, June 27, 1959, in Welch, West Virginia. He was the youngest child of Huriam and Elizabeth Wilson (Née Miller). He was baptized, at a young age, at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Columbus, OH where his parents and family worshiped for many years. He recently worshiped at Faith Life Church, New Albany, OH. Terrance was educated in the Columbus Public School System and graduated from Everett Jr. High School and Central High School of Columbus, Ohio. Terrance was a very proud Columbus Police Officer promoted to Sergeant in 1992. A job he loved and lived for. Always an avid learner of the law, he spent hours at the Columbus Metropolitan Library-Main and the Law Library of Capital University studying Ohio Law. It was at Capital University that Terrance received his Liberal Arts Degree. Terrance was his own man, he moved to his own rhythm a different kind of guy who embraced his differences and a man comfortable in his own skin. He enjoyed being alone with his music and dogs. One of Terrance’s favorite music groups was The Doobie Brothers. One of Terrance’s favorite songs was “Jesus Is Just Alright”. Aside from sports cars, one of Terrance’s favorite hobbies was his love for refurbishing old homes. Terrance loved to cook. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday. He would personally select a handpicked turkey from a nearby farm and prepare it for his family who would enjoy the finished wonderful gourmet feast. He may have been the youngest sibling, but he never let his older brothers out dress him. Known for his woven white shirts, sparkly cuff links, and custom-made European cut suits. His clean-cut polished style set him apart along with his walk and the demeanor in which he carried himself. Also like all of his siblings, Terrance held his own in the academic field as well. Terrance transitioned on Sunday evening March 15, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio. He was 60 years of age. Terrance was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Delores Wilson and Barbara Simmons. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving daughter Rachel Sereyka Wilson, and Lisa Sereyka of Canal Winchester, OH; brothers, Harriston (Gayle) Wilson of Columbus, OH.and Sylvan (Robin) Wilson of Pickerington, OH; sisters:, Velva (Walter) Chamberlain of Charleston, WV and Brenda (Melvin) Marshall of Columbus, OH; brother-in-law, James Simmons of Freeport, NY; and several nieces, nephews other family and friends.
