Terron A. Carter, Sr. was born December 15,1967, in Montgomery, Alabama, as the only child to Mary E. Carter. As a young child, Terron was involved in many sports such as baseball, basketball and football, with football as his number one sport. He went to Fort Hayes High School for surgical technology, and graduated from Eastmoor High School. After high school, he attended Columbus State Community College for a short time. He then realized that his true purpose was to serve his country as an emergency medical technician in the United States Army. Knowing Terron, four years in the Army wasn’t enough for him, so he then decided to enlist in the United States Navy. After serving thirteen years in the Navy, he was honorably discharged. However, before leaving the military, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Terron then came back to Columbus to work as a corrections officer at London Correctional Center. Terron is preceded in death by his father Clarence Roberts, aunt Reta Seawright, and grandparents Rose and Willie Seawright. He is survived by his mother Mary Carter Roberts; sons, Terron Carter, Jr. and Anthony Carter; daughter Taylor Carter; sister Cierra Ball; grandchildren, Brianna Carter, Braylon Carter, Tatum Carter, Clayton Carter Harris, and Ava Carter; as well as a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
