Thomas E. Mclaurin

Thomas E. McLaurin Sr. departed this life on March 11, 2016 at the age of 75. He was born to the union of Andrew D. McLaurin and Rosa Lee McLaurin in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 17, 1940. Thomas was preceded in death by parents, Andrew D. McLaurin Rosa Lee McLaurin. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 53 years L. Sylvia McLaurin; his children, Shelly R. McLaurin-Andrews of Manchester, CT, Thomas E. McLaurin, Jr. of Bowie, MD., Traci L. (David) Hatchett and Kiesha L. Martin; his brothers, Melvin (Mary) McLaurin of Springfield, MA., Robert McLaurin, Sr., of Florence, SC.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. Before his retirement he was employed for 33 years by Wonder Bread Bakery. Thomas was an active disciple of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church for several years. He was a dedicated member of the Transportation and Outreach Ministries.
