Thomas Sylvester Wilborn

THOMAS SYLVESTER WILBORN was born on Monday, August 27, 1951, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He was the son of Walter and Laura Wilborn. He was affectionately called “Tommy” by family and friends. During his life, Thomas pursued several careers which included working as a welder, a school bus driver, and a machinist. Tommy’s favorite things to do were to ride his motorcycle, to travel on cruses, and to go to the Nascar Races. However, he most enjoyed Sunday dinners with his grandchildren. Tommy departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He was 68 years of age. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Wilborn and his brother, Robert Wilborn. Loving memories are cherished by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; father, Walter; sons, Thomas (Tyla) and Orlando (Rosanna); daughter, Ashley; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
