Tina Marie Franklin

Tina M. Franklin was born on October 13, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School and received her Associates Degree in Medical Assistance from Mansfield Business College. Despite Tina's limited condition. she enjoyed going to the zoo, going on scenic drives, taking walks, watching basketball, football, comedy shows, attending weekly (Wednesday and Sunday) church services, participating in various activities, and most of all watching her favorite TV show “The Golden Girls” with her roommate, Ms. Addy. Tina’s laughter was infectious throughout Mayfair Nursing Center. Her laughter could be heard all the way down the hall. At times the staff and residents of Mayfair would come in her room and ask her what was so funny and they would see that she was watching her favorite show. Tina was loved and well known by many of the staff, residents, and visitors at Mayfair for the past twelve years. Tina had a very full and enjoyable life at Mayfair despite her condition. She will surely be missed by all. Tina passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Olden W. Franklin; grandmother, Marty L. Ratliff, mother, Gail G. Bailey; aunt, Joyce A. Burkes; uncle, Mark L. Ratliff; brother, Terrance D. Franklin and sister, Lisa R. Bailey. Tina leaves to cherish her memory her step-father, Ralph S. Bailey Sr.; brother, Brian (Lisa) Franklin; sisters, Marta J. Saxton and Marla N. Woods; brother, Ralph S. Bailey Jr.; sister, Risa (Jesse) Jennings; uncle, Wesley (Pat) Franklin of Philadelphia, PA.; sister-in-law, Tanya E. Franklin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, Odyssey Health Care, and the great staff and residents of Mayfair Nursing Center.
