Truman Barnes

Truman Lee Barnes joined the world on November 1, 1946 in Grenada, Mississippi. Truman transitioned to his new home in heaven on December 11, 2023 in Columbus, Oh. While here Truman enjoyed and lived life the best way he knew how! Truman worked long careers as a hairstylist, MC/DJ and landscaper all while enjoying fishing or playing cards during his free time.

Truman is preceded in death by his: mother-Willie Williams, father-Willies Barnes, sister Katie Barnes, brothers-Joe Willie Barnes and Johnny Lee Barnes, life partners- Gloria Woods, Judy Clayborn and Barbra Howard.

Surviving family: sister-Rose Mary Barnes, children-Dwayne Perkins, Damon Brown, Dennis Shaw, Aaron Johnson(Donielle), Collin Young, Trudy Clayborn and Jennifer Barnes. Step-children Lynnette Woods-Stevens(Jermaine) and Dr. Joanne Lunceford(Kevin). Along with 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service immediately following at Antioch Baptist Church 1051 Chambers Road, Columbus - Ohio. Burial will follow in procession to Evergreen Cemetery, Columbus - Ohio.
