Tyrone Lee Daknight Bailey

Pastor Tyrone LD Bailey Sr. was born August 1, 1960 to Viola Head and Arthur Bailey. Tyrone, known affectionately as Tye, was called home to be with the Lord at 61 years of age on September 29, 2021. Pastor Tyrone was an amazing chef and the founder and CEO of TL Bailey’s Souperlicious Soups. His soups were in demand across various states and retailers including Walmart among others. Following in his mother’s love of education, he attended The Ohio State University where he received a bachelor’s in Business Administration, Management and Operations and attended World Harvest Bible College where he got his MBA in Theology and Sociology. He sang on World Harvest Church’s frontline for years and with many famous gospel artists including Commissioned, Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp among others and traveled to preach the gospel before moving to Cincinnati and eventually North Carolina where he became the Pastor of River of God Ministries in Winston Salem, NC, a calling that he loved and fulfilled for many years. After moving back to Columbus, Ohio, he attended Equippers Church with his family and hosted an online bible study for churches across Pakistan. He was loved for his creative style of preaching an d his clarity of the Word God. He was known for his humorous personality, always making sure to bring laughter everywhere he went and never met a stranger. He was a visionary and a man of great wisdom who was extremely business minded. He was head sales manager at Tru Green Chemlawn for 20 years where he was known as the “closer” and received many trophies and awards throughout the years. He was a father, brother, and mentor to many who loved him and will absolutely miss him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evangelist Viola E. Stewart and father Pastor Arthur Bailey and a nephew. He is survived by his wife Christina Bailey, his children Tyrome, Austin and Serayah, (Adian, Byron, Jamale and Jerett) through marriage, his siblings Cheryl Kato, Harry Foley (Suzanne), Jonathan Stewart, a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends, and family.
