Vanessa Harris "Nessa" Nanna", was born October 7, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Linden McKinley High School, Nationwide Beauty Academy and Certified Home Child Care Provider. She attended Central State University. Vanessa worked for fifteen years for Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. She was active as a children’s ministry teacher at Kingdom Faith International Christian Center. She also taught and assisted with A&L Afterschool Literacy+ Institute Summer Reading and Tennis Clinics since 2005. Vanessa was also a member of the Wilson Lake Family Reunion Circle. She loved making ceramic pottery, cake decorating, coloring, romance novels, and traveling with her friends. On Friday, April 13, 2018, Vanessa passed away. She was preceded in death by her father Giden Harris, Jr.; mother Lelia G. (William) Farrar; and brother John Glen Clark. She is survived by her brother, Willie Herman Clark; sisters, Theresa (Ron) Hairston Sr., Anita D. Smith, and Rita J. Harris; niece, Anesha L. Choice; nephews, Richard T. Elijah, Michael G. (Veronica) Hairston, Ronald G. (Melissa) Hairston Jr., Anthony L. Smith, Robert L. Smith, and Ian C. Woods; a host of great nieces, nephews and extended family, Nancy Hill McClary, Jamell and Quane Davis, Tyreze, Tyran, and Taliyah Angus; and close friends Karen Davis, Sherree Davis, Jackie Davis.
