Vanya Clark

Vanya J. Clark went home to be with the Lord on March 20th, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio, with family surrounding her. She was born on April 17th, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, to Alma Wade and Clarence Miller. Vanya graduated from Mifflin High School and pursued a lifelong career in banking. She retired from National City Bank after 30 years. She was a dedicated and hardworking professional.

She was an outgoing and family-oriented individual who enjoyed shopping, gardening, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and entertaining family and friends. Vanya was known for her fun-loving nature, her love of family, and her strong work ethic. She was an all-around "Classy Woman." Vanya rededicated her life to Christ at The Greater 12th Baptist Church, under Pastor Cleophus Kee. She was a dedicated member who sang in the choir, served in the children's ministry, and served faithfully until she became ill in 2015.

Vanya leaves earthly bounds to carry her memory mother Alma Wade, daughter Ashley Clark, son Robert J. Clark IV, grandchildren Robert "Robby" Davis Jr., Braylen Jennings, Creighton Montgomery, Robert J. Clark V, Macie Clark, sisters Beverly Miller, Arlinda (George) Taylor, Cynthia (Tony) Sellers. Close friends Cynthia Zigler, Bernice Frederick, & Tammy Decamp. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and greats.

Vanya was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Clark III, father Clarence Miller, stepfather Calvin Wade, sister Regina Flemister, niece, and nephew Calvin Miller and Tracy Torbert. Vanya's joy, friendship, and presence will be forever cherished and greatly missed. We will always hold dear to our hearts who she was to each of us.

A home-going celebration to honor Vanya's life will be held on Friday, April 5th, at the Greater 12th Baptist Church, 1561 Cleophus Kee Blvd. Columbus, OH 43211. Visitation 11 am-12 pm, funeral service immediately following.
