Vinetta Jones

Vinetta ascended into eternity on April 12, 2024. She is survived by her children: Toney E. Thomas, Lloyd Hayles, Sharon Jones, Jean-Claude Jones, Akeem C. Iman-Jones, and Horatio Jones; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and spiritually adopted daughters & sons; church family, and friends.

In Columbus, Ohio, she was a dedicated Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church member for more than four decades, actively participating in the bereavement, culinary, and community ministry teams.

Additionally, she served as a valued employee at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Westerville, Ohio, for over 40 years before retiring in 2013. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Collington, son, James Jones, and daughter, Pastor Joan Elaine Kirby.

Vinetta was a beacon of light and grace, a truly righteous and spiritual woman whose kindness and wisdom touched all around her. Her unwavering faith and gentle spirit inspired us all to be better and to live with compassion and love. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of goodness will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3650 Sunbury Road, Columbus Ohio 43219.
