Viola English Hunt

Mrs. Viola "Vi" English Hunt was born on April 13, 1940. She entered this world to two wonderful parents; Mr. Gentle Brown and Mrs. Beatrice Brown. Viola was raised in Pomeroy, Ohio, where she was inspired by her parents, family and those around her. Viola was loving, respectful, elegant, and a sophisticated woman. A true woman of valor. Viola confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. She was a God-fearing woman who knew the Lord. Viola graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1958, and later would move to Columbus Ohio. "Vi" was Blessed with two wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, to whom she cherished, and loved very much. Viola would later be united in Holy matrimony to Mr. Marcus Hunt in Columbus, Ohio on November 22, 1980, until 2015, when God called Brother Marcus Hunt home to be with the Lord. "Vi" became a member of Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church in 1980. She was a member of the Oakley Ephesus Church Group and a member of the Church Choir. Viola was a member of the Oriolettes Social Club. She also was part of the Central Ohio Management Association. Viola later retired in 1996 from the Defense Construction Supply Center after 33 years of dedicated service. "Vi" loved traveling, shopping, music, dancing, and mostly keeping up with the latest fashions. As an avid fitness enthusiast, she enjoyed bike riding, walking, swimming, playing tennis, working out at the gym or around the house. She loved the Lord; and loved people. Viola often attended and hosted church and family events. She invested her time and resources in helping loved ones. She was a true matriarch of the family. She will be greatly missed.
