Virdree Lamar Thompson departed Wednesday morning March 27, 2019 in the comfort of the family’s home. Many of us know him as Virgil “Bunion” Thompson. He accepted Christ early in life and again in 2008. Virgil was born January 4, 1974 in Youngstown, OH, a son of Janice (Thompson) Miller and Jerome Baxter. He loved his family and children. The badder the better, if that’s even a word. His hobbies included listening to music and watching movies. His love and knowledge of music was unbelievable. He enjoyed all genres. Virgil was preceded in death by his father Jerome Baxter III, both grandfathers Gerome Baxter Jr and George Thompson, and grandmother Ethel Thompson. He leaves to cherish his life, his mother Janice Thompson-Miller (William) of Youngstown, OH; grandmother Irene Baxter of Youngstown, OH; Patricia Allen of Columbus, OH and their six children Brittnei, Jamie (Pierre), Robyne (Carl), Karleeta (Xavier), Carliss and Tyler; special sister in law Teresa Allen; 4 grandchildren Londynn, Pierre (PJ), Titan and Chase. Virgil will also be fondly remembered by his four brothers Alonzo Thompson (Shanieka) of Dayton, OH, William A Miller (Jennifer) of Youngstown, OH, Gerome Woods of Youngstown, OH, Justin Baxter of Harrisburg, PA; three sisters Nateisha Gilliam, Lyn Jeana Miller, Sinchonna Woods all of Youngstown, OH. Virgil left this earth way too young at the age of 45, but God called him to a higher mission. No more trials, tribulations, or sorrows, only sweet peace. He will be greatly missed by never forgotten, because he touched so many lives as only he could.
