Virgil Powell

Virgil Powell, Jr. was born on June 25, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Estelle Smith and Virgil Powell, Sr. During his young life, Virgil moved from Toledo and he has resided in Columbus, Ohio since 1980. Virgil graduated from Port Clinton High School. He was employed by Ford Motor Company and Discover card for over twenty years. Virgil’s hobbies included bike riding, playing basketball and he enjoyed the outdoors. Virgil passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Powell-Veal; father, Virgil Powell, Sr.; and sister Roxanne Cade. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie N. Powell-Moore; sons, Tre Virgil Norman and Adam Powell; sister, Beverly A. Taylor; granddaughters, Jamilyah S. Daiyaan and Marcella E. Lumpkin; grandsons, Stephan J. Moore and Charlie D. Brown, III; and a host of relatives and friends.
