Walter Albert

Walter Albert, age 67,was born in Sumter, South Carolina the son of Leroy and Julia (Myers) Albert. He was a life long resident of Columbus, Ohio. Walter attended East High School. Shortly after, he enlisted in the US Army where he served from 1968 to 1971 and was honorably discharged. Walter retired from the City of Columbus where he worked for 25 years. On Monday, December 19, 2017 at OSU Hospital, Walter passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, Leroy, Charles, Robert, James, Donald, Randolph, and Dennis Albert, and 2 sisters, Mary Pruitt and Linda Albert. Walter leaves to cherish his memory one son, Walter Searcy of Columbus, Oh; Cora Albert of Brooklyn, NY; Classia Albert of Los Angeles, California; brother, Robert Albert of Columbus, Ohio; stepson’s, Parrish Searcy, Gifford Searcy, and Jervis Hayes; grandchildren, Deandre Green, Deonna Green, Daja Green, and Mason Hollis; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, many friends, and special friend, Hattie B. Berry. Sleep on brother you fought a good fight, only God knows what’s best. We love and miss you dearly!
