Walter Bryant

WALTER HERBERT BRYANT was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, August 27, 1957. He was the son of Thelma Mae Porter and Walter Herbert Warner. Herbie, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, received his formal education from Columbus City Schools. He was a proud graduate of South High School, where he played football and ran track. Walter was a Veteran of The United States Marine Corps.

Walter was employed with the Columbus Board of Education. He also worked landscaping part-time. He had an excellent green thumb. Walter was an avid football fan. His favorite teams were the OSU Buckeyes and the Los Angeles Rams.

Our beloved Walter H. Bryant entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was sixty-five years of age. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Lee Bryant and Ernest E. Porter.

Loving memories are cherished by his son, Andre Bryant, Sr.; daughters, Misty Mackey and Nikki Mackey; grandson, Andre Bryant Jr.; granddaughter, Addison Bryant; sisters, Malinda Bryant, Barbara (Dennis) Shilling, Shirley Bryant, and Wyleen Bryant; brothers, Richard Bryant and Eric (Rebecca Porter) Bryant; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.
