Walter Henry Price was born March 3, 1943 to Walter Lee Price and Yvonne H. (Mason) Price in Dayton, Ohio. His father died while Walter was still very young and his family later moved to Charlestown, Indiana. There, his mother met and married Charles R. Lusco who raised Walter as his own. In 1952, the family moved to Columbus, Ohio and, in 1963, he graduated from Columbus South High School. Known by his friends as "Prince" and "Cool Cat," Walter resided in Columbus for 66 years. He enjoyed sports, history, all types of music, and movies. He was always ready to help a friend. Walter tried a number of jobs through the years, but found a home at the Grill and Skillet Restaurant. He often talked about the host of interesting people he met in his travels. He enjoyed life. On April 13, 2018, after a prolonged illness, Walter Henry Price passed away while at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. He was 75. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Lee Price, mother Yvonne Lusco, stepfather Charles R. Lusco, grandmother Lylar Skinner, and uncle Alvin Mason. He is survived by his sister Mary Lusco-Ashley; brother Charles R. Lusco; sister-in-law Jane Schneider; friend Bonnie Tompkins; and many friends and acquaintances.
