Walter Lee Ford, Jr.

Walter Lee Ford Jr. was born to the union of Walter Sr. and Doris (Sowell) Ford on February 4, 1965. He departed this life on August 3, 2020 at the age of 55 years old. Walter Jr. attended Bibleway Church of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ under Bishop William C. Latta during his youth. As an adult he became a member of Restoration Christian Center where he faithfully served as an usher. He attended Columbus Public Schools. Walter was a STNA for over 35 years, he also worked for a company called Right Stuff Detailing until his illness. Walter re-dedicated his life to the Lord on July 14, 2020. Walter was a very loving husband,father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved riding his motorcycle with the pink pig on the back. Walter also enjoyed traveling, taking pictures and shopping at the Thrift Stores. He loved to dress sharp and smell good. Often people said he looked like Luther Vandross. He was a professional ironer, he also sewed, was a Master Chef, and could throw down on the grill! Walter was a caregiver to all that knew him. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Brother David Hobson, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Ralph and Vivian Smith, Sister-in-law Debra Terry, brother-in-law Norman and Ronald Findlay, friend Norman (Andre) Ivery. He is survived by his wife Karen Ford his first love whom he wed on April 9, 2009, special children Honesty Walker, Andrian Jr., Desire Smith, Sisters Karla (Melvin} Brown, Teddy and Maria, Amia Ford, John L. Hobson II, uncles Richard (Jacqueline) Sowell, Brenda Sowell, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Special Mother Lavenia Smith and Family, Step-Children Adrian (Linda) Smith Sr., Dacia, Daryl, Michelyn Smith, David Jr. (Eturnity) Moore, Shawan (Nicole) Johnson, numerous grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law Sharon Smith, Brother-in-law Richard (Donna) Jamison.
