Warren Edwin Harrell, Sr. was born August 1, 1969 in Albany, Georgia to Leila Mae Swann Harrell and Jimmie Lee Harrell. Going up in Albany, Warren excelled in athletics and was an outstanding defensive back for his high school football team. He has been a resident of Columbus, Ohio for 25 years, where he was a longtime employee of Lutheran Village and later went to work for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), where he was an active employee until the time of his death. Warren first laid eyes on the love of his life, when she was walking across the playground and from there, the history began. He was a dedicated husband, father and friend. Warren loved to spend time with his sons at amusement parks, zoos, and at the gym playing basketball. He would spend hours shopping with his wife and never complain or worry about the time. Warren passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. His parents preceded him in death. Those who remain to cherish memories of Warren include his loving wife Sabrina Harrell; sons Warren Harrell, Jr. and Braylen Harrell; siblings, Jimmy (Jeanette) Harrell, Maurice Harrell, and Kewanna Zanders (Mark) Price; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
