Wendell Burton

Wendell Burton, 60 of Columbus, OH, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. Wendell was born and raised in Tucker, Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Wendell moved to Columbus to pursue her masters degree at the Ohio State University. She served as a Columbus City School teacher for over 35 years. She taught her students the fundamentals of fashion and fabrics as the instructor of the Fashion and Interior Design Career Center program. Wendell was an active member of Gospel Lighthouse church serving the Lord with her expertise. Preceded in death by her mother, JohnEtta Bryant and sister, Barbara Bell. She is survived and will be missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Tony Burton; son, Anthony Burton; brother, Elijah (Heddy) Wesley; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and students.
