Wilbert Jerome Scott

Wilbert Jerome Scott, affectionately known as “Buddy”, was born on March 3, 1934 in Rendville, Ohio. Buddy graduated from Corning High School in 1954. He married the love of his life, Janice Ware, February 27, 1960 and they remained married until her death in 1981. Buddy served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 and was honorably discharged. He accepted Christ at a young age, and was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where he was chief of the Usher Board. On November 26, 2019, Buddy passed away. He was preceded in death by the late Willie and Susie Mae Scott; wife, Janice; only son Roderick; his only sister, Francine; and brothers, Author, James, Frank, Napoleon, and Curtis. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Vikki Scott; grandson, Michael Scott; granddaughters, Hope and Amani Glaze; brothers, Freddie Schott and Charles; special friend, Mrs. Josie Brown; and host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
