Mr. Wiley (David) Ellison Jr age 75 was born November 16, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to the union of Wiley David Ellison Sr and Lorraine (Jones) Ellison. He was the next to the eldest of 5 children. He grew up in Columbus Ohio where he met the love of his life Lena Mae Reid. Wiley and Lena were united in marriage in 1966, a union that lasted over 40 plus years until her departure in 2016; union was blessed with 3 children, Michelle R Ellison, Tina (Timothy) Ellison Sweeney and Timmy (Anita) Ellison. David completed 12 grade via night school then went to trade school and became certified and bonded iron worker with the Iron Workers District Council of Southern Ohio working there over 30 years until his retirement. David was highly committed in giving to charities such as America Red Cross and BOYS TOWN to name a few. He also had a great love for roller skating where he would skate twice a week up until age 74. He had a great love for all his children and each and everyone of them was shown love by him in a different way. He was very loving, supportive and yet stern when need be. He gave weekly allowance to all his children until his retirement then a monthly allowance (who does that)! David transitioned and went home to the Lord April 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and son, Timmy. He leaves to cherish his memory, 8 children, Michelle Ellison, Tina Ellison-Sweeney, David Longs, Shpree Roberson, Nija Roberson, Tishia Roberson, Antonio Baker, Tamra Douglas, two brothers William Curtis, Wendell Daniel, two sisters Dolline Ellison-Glanton, Linda Ellison-Jenkins and many grandchildren and great grand-children.
